With the 2012 WCOOP now out of the way PokerStars was back to its usual Sunday routine regarding tournaments with the Sunday Million and Sunday Warmup getting back up and running. The biggest winner of the day was Jason “TeamWispy” Helder who took down the Sunday Million for a payout of $201,962.16 with Chris “NigDawg” Brammer being a winner on the day too.

The Sunday Million!

This event was back to its best and back to beating its $1 million prize pool guarantee as 6,639 players entered to create a prize pool of $1,327,800. The $200+$15 buy-in event is the biggest weekly online poker event going and by far the most popular.

Of the notable players to do well in the event there was Phil “Jack69” Shaw who finished in 12th position for a payout of $7,435.68 whilst we also had Janos “szusza84” Toth doing well to cash for $2,509.54 in 44th position.

Once the final table got underway the eventual winner Jason “TeamWispy” Helder was actually the short stack with only 15 big blinds to his name, yet he still managed to find a way to get to heads up with “parrish09” who had came to the final table with around half of all the chips in the event.

When in heads up though it was Helder who held a slight advantage and though the lead did change hands a few times he finally managed to win when his Ac-4c beat the pocket sevens of his opponent on a board that showed 5h-4d-3h-2s-Jc.
