Yesterday saw the penultimate day’s action at the PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour, with Day 3 seeing the 49 remaining players reduced down to just the final eight to sit on that final table a little later today. The player that has pushed himself right to the top of the chip counts for that table is Przemyslaw Dajer, as he finished with 2,083,000 chips.
He had a solidly consistent day that involved him chipping up on many occasions, he took out Kevin Williams when holding the pocket aces, which was what initially pushed him over the million mark in chips.
Later in the day he surpassed two million chips after winning a massive pot against Jamie Sykes who folded on the river after a massive bet from his opponent.
The player he is beating into second place is Vladislav Donchev who is around 400k behind with 1,700,000 chips. Another name to watch out on that final table is a former UKIPT event winner in David Vamplew; he has been up near the top of the chip counts ever since the event started.
He actually secured his spot on the table by eliminating the only other former UKIPT winner in Jamie Burland, whilst he also eliminated Sebastian Guerlinze a little earlier in the day too.
Final Table Bubble Boy!
The player that fell in the unfortunate position of 9th was Isaac Opoku who was the short stack and needed to do something to get himself in a better position. He pushed with the Ad-2d but was called by the pocket threes of Vladislav Donchev, with the ace he needed not appearing on the board.
Notables To Fall!
During the day we lost a number of high profile players, with PokerStars Team Pro Grzegorz Mikielewicz being one of them. He fell in 44th place and was joined on the rail by names such as Brett Angell, Jason Barton and Thomas Hall.
The players that will return later today will now be fighting it out for the £101,000 first place prize, whilst the minimum that each player will receive is £9,750.
