PokerStars UKIPT Edinburgh Day 1b – Vamplew At The Top

ukipt field

Day 1b at the PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour Edinburgh was finished up last night as another 311 players registered to bring us a total of 427 that have bought into this event. There were just 147 of those that navigated their way into Day 2 along with the 55 Day 1a survivors.

Leading the event going into Day 2 will be former EPT winner David Vamplew after his chip haul of 146,200 was enough to knock the leader on Day 1a in Leon Louis into second place with 122,700.

There were some other big names that did well on Day 2 as well as Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree amassed 115,000 chips and is looking strong for Day 2. She is also joined by the likes of Mickey Petersen, Dermot Blain, Steve O’Dwyer, Dominik Nitsche and Julien Thew into Day 2.

Not all of the bigger names in the field were so lucky though as Team PokerStars Pro Vicky Coren and Team PokerStars Online Dale Phillip were both sent to the rail along with the likes of Andy Black and Chris Ferguson.

Day 2 will commence at 12pm GMT today and will further reduce that field down in size and see the bubble hopefully passed. Find out who made it through by joining us again tomorrow.
