Quiet Times At The Highstakes Tables This Weekend

It seems that most online high stakes grinders are taking their Christmas holidays a little early this year, because the high stakes tables at both PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker were incredibly quiet over the weekend just gone.

In fact there was only one six figure winner across those two days. Maybe they are all out Christmas shopping, celebrating the festive season already or attending a bunch of Christmas parties, who knows but we hope it picks up soon as we love sitting there and watching these players trade hundreds of thousands on a daily basis online.

“seb86” The Only Big Winner!

“Seb86” must have most of his Christmas shopping done already, as he was one of only a few players showing at the tables over the weekend. He managed to pocket a good score of $101.3k during a session on the 2-7 Triple Draw tables.

In that very same session was another player who managed to take home a decent profit in time for Christmas, “Alexonmoon” took home $73k.

The biggest winner over at PokerStars during this period was “Gozoboro” who banked a very healthy $74.6k whilst playing at the Triple Draw tables. In truth he was actually almost $100k to the good but decided to play a session a little later on at the Pot Limit Omaha tables and lost a little bit to “oogee”.

Another winner over the weekend was “rafaelemit”, who managed to add another $60.8k to his poker account whilst playing at the $50/$100 Pot Limit Omaha tables against the likes of “Jeans89” and the super aggressive “Barcode”.

Hansen Amongst The Losers Again!

Gus Hansen was again the biggest loser during that period, but he was joined by some very high profile names too. Hansen lost $85k, whilst “Sauce123” dropped $84.4k, Phil “Polarizing” Ivey lost a total of $77.1k and “Isildur1” dropped another $71.6k.

The Weekend’s Largest Pots!

There were only two notable pots this weekend, with “Jeans89” winning the biggest of them against “Barcode”. He flopped two pair on the flop and it evolved into a full house on the turn to secure him the $56.7k pot.

“Barcode” actually won the second biggest pot of the weekend to make up for it though, as he rivered a straight to beat out “eitan2134” for a pot of $50.4k.

The Weekend’s Biggest Profits!

Seb86 – (+$101.3k)

Alexonmoon – (+$73k)

Gozoboro – (+$72.3k)

Trueteller – (+$68.9k)

Hopefully the high stakes action picks up during this week, yet we would not be surprised if it doesn’t. Poker players celebrate Christmas too, though it’s to our disappointment. Whatever action does come our way, we will bring it straight to you so that you can keep up to date with all of the action on the highest stakes tables with regards to online poker.
