Sahamies At It Again – Wins Another $450k

Yes, we know that it may feel a little like de ja vu but “Ilari FIN” does not seem to be able to stop crushing the PokerStars high stakes cash tables at the moment. What is even more amazing is that it has all come out of nowhere, just last week he was running amongst the biggest losers of the year with losses of around $1.5 million, this week he has a yearly profit of $1.25 million and is currently standing in 9th position for profit.

If he continues this form he will have Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky looking over his shoulder soon, he is currently the years biggest winner with over $ 3million in profit.

Yesterday he won a total of $450k after having a somewhat bad day the day before losing a mighty $64k at the tables. However, he put that behind him and was again at the $200/$400 pot limit Omaha tables yesterday destroying everyone in his path.

How His Day Started Out!

Well, he started very well in fact. He won a good $90k during the day, which comprised of a session in the morning and one in the late afternoon. He was up against the likes of “patpatman”, “Jeans89”, “Skjervoy” and “barcode”, and was playing at the $100/$200 tables.

He also won an extra $34k in a short stint at the $50/$100 tables before preparing to up the stakes and go to his favoured nosebleed tables, the $200/$400 in the evening.

He initially lost a few hands early on in his later session but eventually found his feet and started playing at his aggressive best. The player that beat him early on was “barcode”, though he would wish that he didn’t as Sahamies absolutely tore him apart once he got going.

As time went on a few more players came to the table such as “Ben86”, “Sauce123”, “tr1ck7” and “patpatman”. We now had a table that had probably the best high stakes players you are likely to ever see in the same place, though “patpatman” may be the exception.

By the end of the session though, there were only two winners on the table, “Ilari FIN” who made around $300k and “tr1ck7” who banked a healthy $110k. The others walked away with losses. The biggest victim was “barcode” who lost a total of $239.2k with most of it going to Sahamies.

It remains to be seen if he can keep up this run of form, yet we certainly wouldn’t bet against it. He has now won a staggering $2.6 million in just seven days, which is more than most have won all year round. Admittedly, most of it will clear what he lost earlier in the year, but it really is still an amazing feat.
