Schemion, Boatman Big Winners At European GPI Awards

The long awaited 2013 Global Poker Index European Poker Awards were dished out last night during an evening of extravagance that ended with a party each of the players are sure to remember. The players were given awards based on their performances last year.

There were a number of awards handed out but the biggest of them has to be the European Player of the Year won by Ole Schemion of Germany and the Lifetime Achievement Award handed to the British professional Barny Boatman.

It is a fully deserved award for the British pro that finally won his first bracelet at the World Series of Poker last year.

 

 

Among the other winners was British pro Toby Lewis who came away as Europe’s best online player in 2013 and Adrian Mateos Diaz who claimed the Rookie Of The Year award.
