SCOOP – More Big Name Winners (vids)


We are now fast approaching the final weekend of the 2014 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker yet there are still many events to be seen just yet. Just in the last few days there have been some big winners and we are here to update you on the event that have attracted the most interest.

There were big names aplenty with a few of them adding more SCOOP titles to their collections. Check out the events below.

Event 33-H $2,100 PLO Turbo Zoom

The first event we will look at is the one in which was won by PokerStars Team Pro George Danzer. He took down the $2,100 PLO Zoom event after getting past a field of 335 players to lay claim to the title and first place score of $129,645.

This means this is his fourth SCOOP title putting him in joint second place with Calvin “cal42688” Anderson. They are both just one behind the all-time SCOOP winner of Shaun Deeb who has five to his name.

Event 28-H $2,100 FL 2-7 Triple Draw

Talking of players with multiple SCOOP wins already, this event brought a two time champion and a three time champion together to battle it out heads up. David “Gunslinger3” Bach was looking for his third title whilst Shawn “buck21” Buchanan was looking to join George Danzer in the event above with four SCOOP titles.

In the end it was the former who managed to net his third win in this 2-7 Triple Draw event after getting past Buchanan and a strong field that included Paul Volpe and a whole host of PokerStars Team Pros in Danzer, Isaac Haxton, Eugene Katchalov and Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier.

Event 29-H $2,100 Fixed Limit Holdem

Another event full of big names was this FL Holdem event. It brought in 138 players and saw the likes of Paul Volpe, Mike Watson and many of the PokerSTars Team Pros that you would expect. Eventually it was won by the well known British pro Luke “lb6121” Schwartz who took home $59,494.40 after a chop of the prize pool when heads up against “alex987”.
