The Fossilman Makes The Final Table In The HPT Mexico!

It’s been a longtime since Greg Raymer won the 2004 WSOP Main Event, however the PokerStars Team Pro player is still hugely popular amongst his fans and poker players alike.

Well, his fortunes are starting to improve. He is sitting at the pretty right at the top of the leader board for tomorrow’s final table in the Heartland Poker Tour hosted in Albuquerque in New Mexico. He has managed to stack up a little over 600k chips and is looking good for a strong finish.

This event has not only attracted a high quality of poker players but also a high amount of entrants all together. Greg Raymer will definitely be sounded out as the man to beat after a storming tournament so far.

Huge Popularity!

The Fossilman is a hugely popular guy, mainly due to his bonding with his fans. He is always appreciative of the support he receives and is constantly on Twitter to let them know exactly how he is doing and how he is feeling. This connection he has with the fans is what makes us all want him to succeed.

Some of his twitters included “made the final table at the HPT Poker Main Event as the chip leader!” another was “Ty so much for all of the kind words and other forms of encouragement. I will do my best and play the best I can to try and take down my very first HPT title”.

Raymer will be joined on a tough final table by the likes of Alan Heaton, Benji Benevides, Scott Daughtry, Rob Crawford and Steven Carruthers.

The HPT Revival!

The HPT tour was nearly history just a month ago, due to the Epic Leagues bankruptcy issues. However it was auctioned away and Pinnacle Entertainment snapped it up, they plan to further expand the tour and keep it running at least for the foreseeable future.

This latest event has shown that Pinnacle have made a very good decision as well as an investment. In fact this event actually broke records for achieving the highest ever prize pool for a poker event in this region.

There is a nice and cool $71,000 waiting for the player who finishes in first place. Each of the players will definitely be hoping to take down that score, especially the Fossilman.

Whatever happens in this tournament and any future HPT events, you can be sure that we will be there to bring you all of the details. We here are all hoping that Greg “The Fossilman” Raymer can appease his adoring fans and take down this tournament in style.
