The Online High Stakes Movers And Shakers

When it comes to the high stakes poker on PokerStars it always seems to include the same usual suspects each week, however, this week that certainly wasn’t the case. This week those regulars tended to be on the losers end with some new names to the high stakes scene getting on top, this included a man a who is more accustomed to live felt than the virtual equivalent Sam “tr1cky” Trickett.

Trickett actually finished as the weeks biggest earner as he banked a healthy $382,723 which put him around $100k ahead of the next best man “ocropTi” who took home $295,168. Next up was Doug “WGCRider” Polk with $270,501, “M.O.P” with $209,657 and Vladimir “GVOZDIKA55” with $192,323.

As for the biggest losers this week we had “witasha” topping the biggest losses list with $265,377 lost this week. Another player who had a tough week was “1Il|1Il|1il|” who managed to throw away $201,475, “sat1337en” losing $199,955 and Ben “Ben86” Tollerene dumping $193,546.

Trickett Cleans Up!

Friday saw Trickett playing around seven hours of online poker at the high stakes PLO tables at PokerStars. He put in a session that lasted seven hours and came out $296,700 better off after it. During this time he took down the biggest pots recorded on Friday including one from Ben “Ben86” Tollerene for $57,009.50.

It started when Ben Tollerene opened for $600 of which Trickett called, “Odd_Oddsen” called as well and the flop came down Qs-10h-Jh. It checked to Tollerene who bet out $1,500, Trickett raised that to $4,400 with both of the other players calling.

The 7h fell on the river with the action yet again checking round to Tollerene who bet $15,235 with Trickett being the only caller this time. Trickett then decided to push all in after the 3h came down on the river and Tollerene called to a total of $36,774.50 with Ac-Kh-Kc-2d for a flopped straight. Unfortunately for him he didn’t protect his hand well enough and Trickett actually rivered a flush with Qh-2h-Qc-8c.
