As usual we bring you our weekly review of all of the high stakes action that has been taking place on PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker between last Monday and yesterday. The past week actually proved to be a very up and down one with no players getting beyond a weekly profit of $300k.
It is not uncommon for players to win that or in some cases even more in just a single day, yet no player managed to string a good a good few days together. They would win one day and then lose the next, meaning it is a far cry from the $500k weekly profits that we are used to.
Scott “mastrblastr” Seiver was the best of them all this week having banked just short of the $300k marker we were talking about as he amassed a profit of $269.9k throughout the week. Having said that, if the week was just a little longer, he would have had a higher total as just past the cutoff point he wan another $100k whilst up against Tom “durrrr” Dwan at the $1500/$3000 tables at FTP.
Monday was all about Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky as he recorded a $506.8k profit from his session at the $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha tables on PokerStars. Monday also included the biggest pot that we had witnessed this whole year, with it not even involving the day’s biggest winner. The winner of the $402.6k pot was “patpatman” when he hit the nut flush on the river against “Barcode”.
“longerpig” was Tuesday’s biggest winner; he took down a score of $124k with most of it coming on the $50/$100 Pot Limit Omaha tables against “Kipu”. The day’s biggest hand was a pot of $236.6k which was won by “Sauce123”.
Wednesday belonged to “Rui Cao” who banked a healthy $233k over at the 2-7 Triple Draw tables on FTP with his main victim being “O Fortuna PLS”. “Barcode” also enjoyed a fruitful day as he amassed a profit of $200k for the day whilst at the $50/$100 Pot Limit Omaha tables at PokerStars.
On a quiet day at the tables for both sites, the biggest profit gained was that of the $101.3k that “458854” managed to acquire. This happened whilst in a heads-up session against “Denoking” over at FTP. “Sauce123” also blew his chances of being the weeks biggest winner after losing around half of the $500k score he made earlier in the week.
It was the ever aggressive Viktor “Isildur1” Blom who managed to pick up the biggest score on Friday. He added $180k to his account after teaching “Seb86” a thing or two at the 2-7 Triple Draw tables.
Saturday saw “patpatman” the biggest winner whilst on Sunday it was “Barcode” with profits of $145k and $171k respectively. With regards to “Barcode” he needed that win having dropped a rather large $192k on the previous day.
