The Online High Stakes Movers And Shakers

Winners and losers

Despite another busy live tournament poker schedule last week there was still plenty of action to be seen online. The high stakes grinders were back at it again betting hundreds of thousands in an attempt to improve their profits for the year. Of course, where there are winners, there are losers too, so let’s have another look at how the results from the last week have affected that of the yearly rankings.

Although Dan Cates finished up as the weeks largest winner, not so long after winning the WPT St Johannesburg Alpha8, the appearance of another player in the top 6 is the biggest surprise. It would be fair to say that over the last couple of years Gus Hansen would have become accustomed to seeing himself in the losses rankings. He has lost almost $14 million online at Full Tilt Poker in that time but for last week at least he can be happy with a profit of $504,236.

Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene still leads the rankings but this week by even more after Viktor Blom had a poor week last week.
