As another week comes to an end on the high stakes poker tables at PokerStars, we can bring you all of the biggest winners and losers throughout the past week and how it reflects on the yearly winners and losers lists.
There were two obvious winners this week in Ilari Sahamies and Ben Sulsky, Sahamies having a massive few days to practically re-claim most of his yearly losses. He took home a profit of $803,468, whilst Sulsky has reacted brilliantly to being caught by Tollerene in the yearly lists to stretch his lead to almost a million by taking home $576,291 this week.
Biggest Winners Of The Week:
Ilari “Ilari FIN” Sahamies (+$803,468)
Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky (+$576,291)
Sam “tr1cky7” Trickett (+$433,546)
“The Liar” (+$257,823)
Andreas “Skjervøy” Torbergsen (+$213,047)
With regards to the biggest drops of the week we had “FakeLove888” topping the charts with a loss of $562,769, he played over 3,515 hands spread across 51 sessions and had a terrible time through most of them.
Biggest Drops Of The Week:
Jens “Jeans89” Kyllönen (-$425,216)
Terje “Terken89” Augdal (-$392,215)
Ben “Ben86” Tollerene (-$302,781)
Phil “MrSweets28” Galfond (-$213,805)
Ben Tollerene has been dramatically chasing Ben Sulsky down in the race to become the biggest wnner of the year, however Sulsky has had another good week to further stretch his lead at the top. This was indeed helped by the fact that Tollerene was amongst the biggest losers.
This has meant that Sulsky has stretched the lead to back over $1 million with his total of $3,312,031 profit now having a fairly commanding lead over Tollerene’s $2,259,824. There is still a lot of time to go though, with Sahamies proving that a player can win nearly a million in a week if things are running well.
Biggest Profits This Year:
Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky (+$3,312,031)
Ben “Ben86” Tollerene (+$2,259,824)
Phil “MrSweets28” Galfond (+$2,117,386)
Jens “Jeans89” Kyllönen (+$1,922,058)
“patpatman” had another bad week and found himself pushed further up the biggest losers list; he is now the second biggest loser of the year with $2,726,625 dropped this year. His bad form this week saw him fall behind “Isildur1” and is now steadily catching up with “Zypherin” who we have not seen playing recently.
Biggest Total Drops This Year:
Viktor “Isildur1” Blom (-$2,476,594)
Gus “broksi” Hansen (-$1,085,191)
Benny “toweliestar” Spindler (-$1,012,435)
There is still a couple of months for players to make improvements, so nothing is guaranteed just yet, though it looks like the only person who could trouble Sulsky is Tollerene, yet does he have what it takes to catch and pass his fellow high stakes player?
