We may have had a bit of a lull in live tournament action in the past few days since the completion of the EPT San Remo, yet this is not going to last too long as we have not one, not two but three World Poker Tour tournaments all running this week.
There is an event in Colorado and two national events, one starting up in Slovenia whilst the other finishes today in Vienna.
Europe sees two events in the World Poker Tour national Slovenia starting up in Nova Gorica, with the €1,500 Main Event kicking off on Thursday the 18th of October, with each player starting out with 20k in chips and having to navigate levels that will last 60 minutes a pop. Day 1 will have two separate flights which include a re-entry format meaning that anyone who isn’t so lucky on Day 1a and busts out can re-enter again on Day 1b.
The final table of the tournament will take place on Monday the 22nd of October, however there will also be a whole host of other side events to take advantage of such as a €600 No Limit Hold’em side event and an Ironman event that will be a €315 jobbie which will have no breaks whatsoever, meaning each player will have to sit there the whole time until completion.
Over in America there will be a regional World Poker Tour Event in Colorado, being hosted in the Isle Casino which is found in Black Hawk. The whole affair has actually been running since the 8th of October, yet the main attraction which is the Main Event kicks off on the 18th.
The Main Event carries a buy-in of $1,850, whilst it will also be much like the Slovenia event in such that it will have a re-buy feature for Day 1. The difference being that there will be a whole extra day’s chance of re-bys as there will be three opening Day flights. So in essence each player could have three shots at the event if they managed to bust on both Day 1a and Day 1b, they still have the chance on Day 1c. The final table will be completed on the 21st of October where the new title holder will be announced.
So if you are looking for a little bit of poker action for yourself, you know where to head to. Coincidently if you just like following the results and performances of your favourite pros, just keep coming back here where we will be keeping you fully updated on just what is happening in each of the tournaments being played.
