On May the 16th the 3rd edition of Tiger Jam will kick off starting with its usual high profile poker charity event called ‘Tiger’s Poker Night’. This tournament will once again see the likes of Phil Hellmuth, Mike Sexton and Doyle Brunson take to the felt against many other celebrities and donors to the cause in order to do their bit for the Tiger Foundation.
The $10,000 buy-in event will once again be filmed by the World Poker Tour whilst it is played out at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in L.A. This coverage will be shown in an upcoming WPT Episode.
The charity poker event is just a part of the whole Tiger Jam, as the charity event actually lasts two days. Also included is some top quality golf, a night of partying, high class gourmet food, live music from OneRepublic, mixing with celebrities and a stay in a 5-star hotel which is all aimed at bringing donations for the Tiger Woods Foundation and the college-access programs that it provides.
As its for charity, the winner of the poker event will not be winning any money but will be awarded with some wonderful prizes and experiences such as a round of golf with Tiger Woods himself. Not everybody will be able to afford the $10k buy-in for the poker tournament but there are plenty of other tickets available for some of the other activities over the weekend for as little as $55.
Tiger Woods said “This unique and entertaining event gives so much to my foundation, helping us grow our programs and providing even more young people with a shot at college,”
If you are in the area around that time and want to have an experience to remember whilst also helping out a wonderful cause, it has to be worth checking out the Tiger Jam.
