It has been a rocky road for Tom “durrrr” Dwan since he made his long awaited comeback to the online poker scene late last year, with him losing more than a million between November and January. However, that all seems in the past now as he has profited almost $2 million over the weekend to bring him out of the red and into the black.
Dwan was one of the original internet superstars before Full Tilt when down under its previous ownership, however after nearly 18 months of not playing, he came back and was probably hoping to kick off right where he left off. That wasn’t to be the case though, well until now that is.
He already had made $1.2 million on Friday, yet he wasn’t finished as he has netted another $870.9k over Saturday and Sunday to bring his profit up to $2 million in just a few days. He was mainly playing at the Pot Limit Omaha tables and 2-7 Triple Draw tables during that time, with profits coming on both.
First “durrrr” was plying his trade on the $250/$500 Pot Limit Omaha tables at Full Tilt Poker, with his opponents including “Bttech86”, “OMGClayAiken” and the mystery man “patpatpanda”. During that session he took down $394k which included some big pots too.
He won a $283.1k pot against Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond when he hit a full house on the turn. He then took down another pot of $266.9k from “patpatpanda” when his opponent missed all of his draw outs.
That wasn’t the biggest pot over the weekend, as we saw a huge pot which was in fact the biggest seen online for more than two years. The winner was “patpatpanda” as he scored a pot of $553.1k after having so many outs on the flop and calling the massive all in from “OMGClayAiken” and managing to hit one.
“durrrr” then went and tried his luck at the 2-7 Triple Draw tables, which also turned out to be a massive success for him. He banked $300k during the session at the $200/$400 stakes tables which brought him his excellent weekend totals.
The losers of the day were obviously “OMGClayAiken” and “Bttech86” as they were the biggest victims of Dwan, however there were others that dropped sizeable sums such as Phil “Polarizing” Ivey who dropped around $400k.
