Tom Dwan allegedly won $25 million in Macau

Poker professionals are well aware of the fact that the biggest games are in Macau and Tom Dwan is known to frequent the nosebleed limits there. The recent rumours are downright shocking, with a CardPlayer Latin America post claiming that he won $25 million.

He is one of the few poker professionals accepted at these tables and  if this rumour is right, Dwan can honestly say that this is the best start of the year ever.

The source is a friend of the family who allegedly saw Dwan winning $25 million while playing four handed poker at blinds of $15k/$30k. The identity of those who competed against him was not disclosed, but the same source states that two of them were Chinese poker pros while the fourth opponent was a billionaire. Apparently, this is not the first time Tom plays against them and last time these four players met, Dwan lost 7 million and he was given the chance to offset his losses in a rematch.

For the time being, we can only speculate about whether the rumours are true or not, as Tom has never revealed anything about his games in Macau. He didn’t say anything on Twitter confirming or denying this $25 million winnings game, with his last message being posted on December 31, 2013 and being mostly about his short term plans.
