Day 2 at the UK & Ireland Poker Tour Main Event was finished up last night as the 309 players that had done enough to advance from one of the two opening day flights was reduced down in size to just 54. Max Silver started the day with the overwhelming chip lead but had to settle going into Day 3 in 2nd place as Daniel Stacey had a fantastic day at the felt to bring his chip count up to 806,000.

Among the other names to progress and find themselves with a chance at this title were Deborah Worley-Roberts, Jack Salter and Dean Hutchison. They will be glad to have escaped the monumental amount of eliminations on Day 2 and survive the money bubble too.

Each of the 54 players still alive in this event are now guaranteed a payday and will now be looking at inching further up the rankings on Day 3 to improve the amount that they get.

The action will again start at 12pm GMT today and will see that field reduced to the final table to be played tomorrow.
