The field in the PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour Edinburgh has now been shrunk down in size to just 36 of the original 427 players that will now go into Day 3 in order to make the final table. The day started with the 202 players that had either progressed from Day 1a or Day 1b of the event and saw an incredible amount of eliminations to see just 36 go through into Day 3.
Leading the field is Jon Lundy after he finished the day with a huge stack of 771,000 putting him around 350k ahead of Ondrej Drozd in second place.

Further back in the field is where you will find some of the bigger names on the circuit with Sam Grafton and Team PokerStars Pros Liv Boeree and Mickey Petersen all doing enough to go through to Day 3 of this popular event.
Through to day 3 with 150k! 36 left in @ukipt Edinburgh. I would like to win this.

Last two levels was a bit of a disaster so made day 3 with just 100k, but I plan on bringing my flip A-game tomorrow! #UKIPTEdinburgh

Day 2 not only saw a large number of eliminations but it also saw the bubble burst as only the top 63 players would be leaving this tournament with any money. Among those that were bust out of the event but were at least paid off for their efforts included Tom Ward, Leon Louis and Neil Raine.
Busto in 52nd aq vs AJ for approx a 270k pot! probs go Pokerstars party for a wee bit then plan a way to get home for 7 a side 2morrow!!

Most that were eliminated walked away with nothing however with the biggest shock being the chip leader at the start of the day going home empty handed. David Vamplew started the day at the top of the chip counts but had a disastrous day that saw him eliminated before the money. He was joined by other big names such as Dominik Nitsche, Dermot Blain and Steve O’Dwyer.
Lost 3 flips + 77 vs AA bust 4 off money #ukiptedinburgh
