Day 3 at the UK & Ireland Poker Tour London Main Event was all about reducing the last 35 players in the event down to just the eight that would occupy the final table later tonight. It took no more than seven levels in order to achieve that accomplishment, with Britain’s Jack Salter just about edging it regarding the chip counts.
He built up a good amount in 3,645,000 chips but has a lead of just over 100k to second placed Ian Simpson. Others that join him on that final table include Paul Zimbler, Karl Mahrenholz and Lasse Frost, which each of them certainly capable of making a final push for the title.
Among the 35 players that fell at the final hurdle of making that final table were the chip leader at the start of the day in Daniel Stacey, David Lappin, Vladimir Geshkenbein and the final table bubble boy Jesse McKenzie.

The final table will be played at 12pm local time today and will continue until there is just the title holder remaining. This event has again proved to be the success that it usually is year on year, with the registrations again growing to outdo those received the previous year.
It leads us to now start looking forward to the European Poker Tour Main Event and of course looking to the EPT Super High Roller which is currently playing out.
