The PokerStars UKIPT Marbella has now been finished up after Rodrigo Espinosa came, saw and conquered the final table to win €136,000.The day started with the final table of eight and with Katja Svendsen as the chip leader ahead of Espinosa but she would eventually lose that chip lead and fall in 3rd place.
Another who was tipped to do well was PokerStars Team Pro Jake Cody but he was the first to go and will now already be on his way back to Las Vegas. He took time out from the World Series of Poker and flew over to Marbella especially for this event as he loves it.
Busted in 8th place, not overly happy with how i played a few spots but could do nothing about my bustout 99<AA back to Vegas in the morning

After Cody was eliminated, the rest of the table slow but surely got smaller after each elimination and we were eventually left with Espinosa and Christian Bauer heads up. Both of these players were responsible for all but one of the bust outs on the final table but Espinosa came to heads up with a massive chip lead.
He knew that just a single double up would be enough to put him right back into contention but in the end it would just not come to him and he was eliminated in second place. He will be happy enough with the €82,900 though we are pretty sure.
