Vicky Coren Marries “Peep Show” Star David Mitchell

David and Victoria might be the first names of probably the most famous couple in Britain; however a different Victoria and David have today been married. PokerStars Team Pro and one of Britain’s best women poker players have just married the actor who is most famous for his role in the extremely popular sitcom “Peep Show”.

Victoria is a successful professional poker player, television presenter and journalist. She currently hosts a quiz show on BBC4 called “Only Connect” and spends the rest of her time attending some of the world’s biggest poker tournaments.

She is sponsored by PokerStars and is known as one of the most successful women on the poker circuit. When she is not playing live, she is regularly seen on PokerStars taking part in many of the online tournaments as well as cash games. Her biggest pay out to date came back in 2006 when she won the European Poker Tour London Main Event for a score of £500,000, though her career winnings are now at well over £1,500,000.

When she is not playing Poker or presenting she can be found writing columns for national newspapers such as the Observer and The Guardian.

They both met each other back in 2007 but didn’t announce that they had been dating until 2010, with David eventually proposing in March of this year. They got married today in a very intimate church ceremony at St Peters Church; London with her wearing a delightful lace sleeved fishtail dress that looked stunning.

She was given away by her brother due to her father having passed away five years ago, in front star studded guest list. Comedians David Baddiel, Jimmy Carr, and Frank Skinner were joined by presenters Claudia Winkleman and Morwenna Banks.

New comedian husband David Mitchell decided to wear a grey suit which was topped off with a black tailcoat. His best man was of course Mitchell’s best friend and comedy side kick Robert Webb who also played alongside him in the cult classic “Peep Show”. The two friends first met when they were both students at Cambridge University, they decided to forge a career in comedy together and are now responsible for the longest running sitcom to have been shown on channel 4.

With Coren being such a poker addict, it makes you wonder whether the honeymoon location which has yet to be announced will involve any particular poker tournament or whether in fact he will allow her to bring the laptop into the bedroom.
