There is already plenty for players to look forward to at PokerStars each and every weekend, yet this one is offering something that little bit extra special on top. Instead of just the ever popular Sunday Warm-up and Sunday Million, there are going to be some other huge events for players to take advantage of.
The PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker Challenge Series (or WCOOP for short) will play out across Friday, Saturday and Sunday with nine events offering prize pools totalling $7 million. This is sure to help to give many players something to do whilst they wait for both the EPT Barcelona and PokerStars WCOOP to start in the coming month.
The first event which starts tomorrow is the lowest buy-in of them all, with $109 required to take part in the $500k guaranteed No Limit Hold’em event. That starts at 1pm and is followed by just one other event on Friday.
The two following days see three events apiece with Sunday having both the Sunday Million and the Main Event offering the biggest prize pools of the WCOOP Challenge Series with $1.5 and $2 million respectively.
The Main Event has a buy-in of $2,100 which is no doubt going to attract some of the best online poker players in the world.
If you perhaps do not have the bankroll to be able to risk buying directly into these events, PokerStars will also be running satellites across the weekend that could see you get a seat in one of the events for just $7.50.
For more information on those satellites you can go to the official WCOOP page here.
