Weekly Online High Stakes Movers & Shakers

Winners and losers

A regular face of the online high stakes cash games is seeing his yearly totals for 2014 go south. Over the course of the past week, Viktor Blom amassed losses of $487,101. Even with the previous week’s loss of $362,608, “Isildur1″ was still atop the leaderboard for online winnings, but this week saw Ben “Bttech86″ Tollerene move into the pole position following Blom’s tough run.

Whenever “Isildur1″ has a bad week, it usually means that another player had a good one. The lucky recipient this week was Harry Cassagrande, who plays under the name of “Schoitl.” Playing at $100/$200 and $200/$400 Cap PLO tables with Blom and Ben Tollerene, Cassagrande took home the lion’s share of the winnings. In a single hour of a heads up match at the $200/$400 table, Cassagrande was able to take around $170,000 off the Swedish pro. However, one week at high stakes poker is an extremely small sample size and Blom is well known for his swings in both directions. The next time that the two competitors square off, it could have a very different result.
