The high stakes action online has been continuing despite the World Series of Poker currently being played out in Las Vegas and there has once again been plenty of players exchanging six figure sums on a daily basis.
Let us run you through what has occurred at the highest online cash games this week and what those results have done for the profit rankings for the year so far.
Viktor “Isildur1” Blom was the player that started the week the best after notching up profits of $339k whilst enjoying sessions at the Pot Limit Omaha tables against the likes of Hac “trex313” Dang and Cort “thecortser” Kibler-Milby.
This form continued as the very next day he bagged up a further $540k on the same Pot Limit Omaha tables. His biggest wins on that day came when he took on Ben “Sauce1234” Sulsky, leading to a very good start to the week.
The middle of the week saw two big winners in “Denoking” and Ilari “Ilari FIN” Sahamies as they banked $320.3k and $173.5k respectively.
Despite starting the week well Viktor Blom ended it with losses that he would rather not have taken after dropping around $130.7k to “Punting-peddler” who finished as the top earner for the day. Blom still managed to finish the week with the most profits recorded and will have done his confidence a world of good as he tries to turn his year’s losses into profits.
What this has done to the yearly rankings has seen Blom reduce his losses to just over a million for the year whilst the top five players with regards to profits see no real change at the top. Gus Hansen still sits with the most losses for the year on $3,545,491 whilst Dan Cates is a good $200k clear at the top of the earners rankings.
