WPT Borgata Winter Open – Paredes Leading Final Table

Mirage Poker Showdown

The World Poker Tour Borgata Winter Poker Open has now reached its final table after the final 36 players came back to the felt in order to be shrunk down in size to just the final 6 players that will compete for the title later tonight on Day 5.

It took more than 12 hours for this number to be reached and when it was, it was David Paredes just edging it over Anthony Maio for the chip lead as both held 9,650,000 and 9,500,000 respectively. Also on that final table were former chip leader Farid Jattin, well know pro Jarred Jaffee, Vladislav Mezheritsky and Robert Murella.

The action was at its high octane best in this event, with the quality on display proving to be incredibly high. Among the players that fell on Day 4 were Faraz Jaka, Chad Brown, John D’Agostino and Byron Kaverman though each did at least take home some decent payouts for all of their efforts.

The final elimination on the day was that of Kunal Patel who busted just one place short of that illustrious final table. He walks away with $135,172 though, which will surely soften the blow a little bit.

The action starts up again at the different time of 4pm ET today, with the final table as usual being televised. We will be able to reveal who the winner is for you in our final report on this event tomorrow, so be there or be square!
