WPT Heads To Belgium For First Time

It is rather surprising that country that has held some of the biggest sporting events in the world, from the Olympics, Footballs European Championships and a host of Champions League finals has still yet to host an event for one of the biggest poker tours in the world.

Well, 2013 is going to be the year that sees Belgium finally have a World Poker Tour event, with the WPT National Brussels scheduled to start in February on the 11th until the 18th.

The WPT prides themselves on foraying into new untapped markets, with them aiming to deliver their high quality poker tournaments to as many players as they can the world over. They will be hoping the event is a huge success, in the same way that most of their events are.

The Main Event will be a €1,500 buy-in and will be hosted at the Casino Brussels, whilst there will be a wide range of other side events for players to take advantage of, with there being buy-ins available that will suit all poker bankrolls.

For those that do not have enough cash to pay for the full buy-in, they can take advantage of a few satellites in which players can win a seat in the Main Event for as little as $200. Other events include a NLHE Turbo, NLHE Bounty, and a Win The Button Event with each of them again being just around the $200 mark to enter.

A Schedule Of The Events To Look Out For:

11th Feb – Satellite WPT Main Event – €180 + €20

13th Feb – Super Satellite WPT Main Event – €180 + €20

14th Feb – Main Event Day 1a – €1500 + €150

14th Feb – Satellite WPT Main Event – €180 + €20

14th Feb – Event 1 NLHE Turbo – €150 + €20

15th Feb – Main Event Day 1b – €1500 + €150

15th Feb – Event 2 NLHE Bounty – €200 + €100 + €30

16th Feb – Main Event Day 2

16th Feb – Event 3 – Win The Button – €150 + €20

17th Feb – Main Event Day 3

18th Feb – Main Event Final Table

This event is certainly one of the early events in 2013 to look forward too, especially as it is on new ground for the World Poker Tour. We will be following the Main Event right the way through until its completion, so if you would like to be in the know on what is going on in Brussels, make sure you check with us regularly throughout the event.
