Day 1b of World Poker Tour Legends of Poker event was brought to a close last night as 199 players took their places at the felt in order to attempt to navigate their way past ten levels and into Day 2 of the event. Just 84 managed to do just that and they will now join up with the 54 players that survived Day 1a to take part in Day 2, once of course Day 1c is completed first.
Christopher Richter just about edged it at the top of the chip counts with 176,500, giving him less than a 1,000 chip advantage over Parvis Sayyad in second place. Further back in the field are some very notable names in Faraz Jaka, Kyle Julius, Jeff Madsen, Phil Laak, Will Failla and Jeremy Ausmus, with each of them quietly satisfied to have made it into Day 2.

Whilst they will all be happy enough with their performances, there were some notable names that will be contemplating coming back for Day 1c as David Sands, Matt Waxman, Greg Mueller, Paul Volpe, Ryan Reiss and Scotty Nguyen all failed to progress past Day 1b.
Leveled myself into calling off on the river with AA in 4-bet pot vs TT. He flopped a set. I’m the worst. Last chance tomorrow.
