WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open Day 2 – Fortini Out In Front

We have just witnessed Day 2 of the World Poker Tour Lucky Hearts Poker Open be completed, as the field was reduced to the final three tables of 36 players from the original 143 that came into the day after surviving their respective flight of Day 1.

When the action came to an end on Day 2, it was Hayden Fortini who moved to the top of the rankings, with it coming on the very last hand of the day. He eliminated the bubble boy to send his chip count up to 946,000.

The action on Day 2 took longer than expected, simply because once we got down to the bubble, nobody wanted to leave. When the elimination did finally occur after a two hour hand for hand session, it was John DiBella who was the last player to go home with nothing.

The action is now going to involve just three tables of players, with players like Joe Serock, Tony Ruberto, Marsha Wolek, Darryll Fish, Justin Zaki and Matt Gianetti still in with a good chance of glory.

The players that now have no chance of such glory include Victor Ramdin, Allen Kessler, Kathy Liebert, Matt Stout and the hot prospect Amanda Musumeci as they were all eliminated during Day 2. They will all be bitterly disappointed to have missed out on the paying positions; yet will already be looking ahead to the next big poker event.

Day 3 will start up again later today and will play down to the final table of eight to play out on Wednesday. It is still fairly close at the top so whoever can pull out a nice little gap later on will be in the best possible position to challenge for the title.
