WPT Rolling Thunder Day 2 – Campanello Leads 24

Stack of chips

The World Poker Tour Rolling Thunder saw Day 2 played out not so long ago as the 190 players left remaining at the start of play were drastically reduced to just 24 spread across three tables. Leading those 24 is Bryan Campanello who sits on a chip stack of 1,436,000 going into Day 3.

He leads Chad Eveslage who occupies second position right now with 1,390,000 and there are a number of notable names in the top ten with the likes of Ryan D’Angelo and James Calderaro mounting a serious challenge.

Further down the field there are a few more big names with the ever consistent JC Tran holding on in there and Keven Stammen not too far from the top ten.

Jesse Sylvia, Joe Serock, Brandon Cantu, Allen Kessler, Matt Salsberg, Maria Ho, Ludovic Lacay, Marvin Rettenmaier and Randy Lew were among the biggest to be sent home on Day 2 with many of them now looking to head over to Venice for the next European Poker Tour stop which is kicking off this week.

The action will continue when the players retake their seats on Day 3 at 12pm PT today and they will play down until there are just six players left to battle it out on the televised final table. Join us once more tomorrow for an update on the action here and we will be able to tell you just who has advanced to that table and who will now have a great chance at a WPT title.
