The second opening day flight of the World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown was confined to the history books not so long ago as another batch of players attempted to advance into Day 2. There were another 542 registrations on Day 1b but only 205 of them could do enough to see themselves into Day 2.
Topping the leaderboard was Melad Marji with a chip count of 297,900 and he leads a top ten that includes notables such as Matt Stout, Mohsin Charania and Jennifer Tilly.

Joining them into Day 2 will be another batch of notable poker names with the likes of Dan Heimiller, Matt Glantz, Dan Shak, Phil Laak, Shannon Shorr and PokerStars Team Pros Jake Cody and Jason Mercier doing enough to progress in the tournament.

Any player that is either out of the event or wishes to have another try to get a better chip count can buy in again on Day 1c a little later today. Some of the players that might be considering this include the likes of Matt Waxman, Joe Serock, Allen Kessler and David Baker who all busted out of the event on Day 1b.
Nothing personal, but if you bagged chips in the WPT I hate you.
