The final opening day flight in the World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open was completed not so long ago as another huge field took to the tables before being reduced right down in size.
There were 774 registrations on Day 1c with around 300 of them progressing into Day 2. This meant that the total amount of registrations for this event to 1,795, the largest ever field for a WPT event.
Joe Kuether sits at the top of the chip counts from Day 1c with 295,900 but with players such as Phil Laak, Jeff Gross, Marvin Rettenmaier and the two Mizrachi brothers in Robert and Michael all making it through, he has plenty to do to stay at the top.
Bagged chip lead on day 1c. Good for 5k bonus and only took four bullets!

Among the biggest names to fall out of the event on Day 1c were the likes of Joe Serock, Jonathon Aguiar and Jeff Madsen, each obviously bitterly disappointed to not have progressed.

The action will get underway again a little later today when all of the survivors from each of the opening day flights get together for the first time to take part in Day 2. We will also see the prize pool information revealed, letting us know just how many players will be taking home some money and just how much we can expect to see the winner of the event claim.
Catch us for our next report tomorrow to see which players are putting themselves in good positions to make some deep runs in this event.
