WSOP Day 29 – Two First Time Bracelet Winners

We are almost at the one month stage of the 2014 World Series of Poker, meaning the more illustrious events are fast approaching. Until then however, there are still a number of smaller events and the Poker Players Championship to report on, as well as a couple more bracelet winners on Day 29.

Event #44 – $1.5k NLHE Day 4 – Morgan Wins First Bracelet

The first event of the day saw the unfinished business between Jordan Morgan and Even McNiff completed with the former coming out with his first WSOP bracelet. They had to go into an extra day for their heads up session after finishing day 3 practically even in chips.

Event #45 – $1k NLHE Day 3 – Givens Claims Bracelet

The second bracelet of the day went to Will Givens after he successfully beat of the final 11 players that took part on Day 3 of the event. He had to beat the player who started the day with the chip lead in Angela Prada-Moed during heads up, which he did to claim his first bracelet and $306,634.

Day 3 of the $50k Poker Players Championship saw the high class returning field of 55 being cut down to just the final 22 that will return for Day 4. Abe Mosseri leads the field right now with 1,727,000 but has many names such as Matt Glantz, Scott Seiver and PokerStars Team Pro Jonathan Duhamel chasing him down.

The super popular Ante Only tournament returned to the felt last night and saw the 80 surviving players from Day 1 again reduced to just the final table that will now compete for the bracelet. Leading that table at the start of Day 3 will be Jeremy Joseph, but in such an aggressive format that can change ever so quickly.

The only new event of the day was the $1.5k PLO Hi/Lo that brought in 991 players that were all hoping to grab themselves a WSOP bracelet. Just 152 are still able to make that dream come true come the end of Day 1 with Cale Maclean leading on 130,300 chips.
