WSOP Day 30 – 50th Event Kicks Off

We have now reached 50 events played at the 2014 World Series of Poker and have just 15 more until he end of the series. The action on Day 30 of the WSOP brought us a single bracelet winner and a final table to look forward to in the $50k Poker Players Championship.

Event #46 – $50k Poker Players Championship Day 4 – Shack-Harris Heads Final 8

Day 4 of the Poker Players Championship brought us down to the unofficial final table of eight that will now do battle for the bracelet. Brandon-Shack Harris has had a great WSOP so far already bagging one bracelet and he is now in the hot seat for another after finishing the day with 4,101,000 chips and the chip lead.

The second event of the day brought us our first bracelet and it was Jesse McEuen that won it after beating the final table of nine to win this popular event. He claims his first bracelet and $212,093 for his efforts after seeing off Jonas Lauck heads up.

This one is now just one more day away from a bracelet after the field of 157 that started the day being reduced to the final 11. Well known professional player Scott Clements has the chip lead right now with 699,000 but he has other notables such as Jeff Madsen and Tom Schneider still to see off for the title.

The $5k NLHE event started last night attracting many of the top pros and creating a field of 694 players hell bent on making their investment count. Only 204 of them will have been happy come the end of the day though as they would be advancing into Day 2. Ken Einiger leads the likes of Josh Arieh, Jason Koon and PokerStars Team Pro Vanessa Selbst in the top ten with 174,000.

The final event of the day also brought us a new tournament to enjoy. This one was a eight game mix and brought in a field of 485. After ten levels that number had been chopped down to just 106 and will now see those players preparing for Day 2. Eric Crain had by far the best day by building up a substantial lead over the rest of the field with a chip count of 71,600.
